Each of our bedsit flats has their own kitchen and toilet facilities. About half have their own shower as well. For those flats without a shower (we have a policy of installing showers wherever possible when flats become vacant) there are shared showers in each wing of the building. On the ground floor in the old building (built 1721 and grade 2* listed) our residents have use of a communal Lounge (see photo) and for special occasions make use of the oak panelled Dining Room (see photos).

On the second floor there is an Upper Lounge which we are in the process of reinstating for use by residents which serves as a quiet room for reading or when the main Lounge is in use for bingo, coffee or other special activities. We have a small car park capable of accommodating about 9 vehicles and there is on street parking available to residents who obtain a Residents Parking permit from the council. We have an onsite mobile scooter room for those residents with mobility scooters. The gardens are well maintained and have ample benches and tables for sitting out and enjoyment by our residents whenever the weather allows.

Lounge

On the first floor there are two further lounges and a guest room which is available for resident’s visitors (at a small charge) should they wish to stay overnight.

Room

The residents live in purpose built ‘studio flats’ adjoining the old house, with their own kitchen, toilet and in most cases shower facilities. Private communal showers/ bathrooms are also available throughout the house with a walk in shower room and a walk in bath option. The flats are unfurnished and carpets cookers and fridges are not provided. The flats are all electric and have ceiling heating. Residents are responsible for paying for their own electricity.

A call system is in operation and the resident manager or deputy are on call 24 hours
